Tubedoku minigame

No, this isn’t just filling out a Sudoku puzzle while you’re commuting. This is a way to separate the true Tube aficionados from the pretenders by way of puzzle created by Sam Dawes to challenge your knowledge. This is ‘Tubedoku’.

If you cast your mind back, we all lost our minds to a game asking us to name all the Tube stations in one go, but Tubedoku has given us a newer way to show you know all 430 London Underground & Overground stops through a daily selection of challenges to fill out a 3×3 grid.

Tubedoku

A refreshed version of the puzzle lands every day, and each of the nine answers you give will fall into two categories, with a matching answer needed for each. For example, today’s top left square tasks you to name a Tube station that both ‘starts with a vowel’ and is on ‘exactly two underground lines’. As you can see, in the article’s main image, I’ve given you a suitable answer of Ealing Broadway.

Another square would require you to name a station that’s on both the Hammersmith & City line and the District line, while the bottom right square wants you to name a two letter station that ends in ‘-park’. Tomorrow the sections will be completely different, but you get the gist.

Simply visit the page made by Sam Dawes each day, and you’ll have a test of your London transport knowledge every morning to complete with your morning cup of joe. Those feeling extra confident after the energy from their brew can set the puzzle to hardcore mode, which asks you to type out each answer freehand with no filtered suggestions on the station search tool. And remember: no cheating!

You can play Tubedoku here each day.
