artotel hoxton spa couples treatment room with two beds

Tucked away in the heart of Shoreditchthe new spa at art’otel London Hoxton is an urban sanctuary well worth your downtime.

Launched a little over a year after the hotel’s debut, this sleek spa seamlessly blends into Hoxton’s cool, arty vibe while offering a seriously luxe escape from city life.

Step inside and you’ve got a gorgeous space designed by Eyal Shoanwhere cutting-edge wellness tech meets relaxed, mindful wellbeing. The star? A stunning 12-metre indoor swimming pool where you can melt away the noise of London in serene, heated waters.

There’s also a bespoke sauna and steam room, crafted by wellness specialists It’sperfect for resetting your mind and detoxing after a busy day.

Meanwhile, four stylish treatment rooms invite you to indulge in a carefully curated menu of facials and massages featuring Natura Bissé and PROVERB products, brands famed for blending high science with natural ingredients.

If you’ve got a bit more time for indulgence, the spa’s treatment menu is a must-try. The Vital Detox treatmentin particular, is a godsend. This is no ordinary facial and massage combo – it’s a full sensory reset for the skin and soul, especially crafted for those who are constantly battling pollution and city stress (aka me and you).

The Vital Detox kicks off with a wonderfully soothing Mineral Reset Massage using warm Himalayan salt stones.

These aren’t just for show; heated pink salt stones are packed with natural minerals like magnesium, potassium, and calcium that help gently exfoliate the skin, improve circulation, ease muscle tension and leaving your skin unbelievably soft. There’s something so wonderfully grounding about the heated stones gliding across your skin, their mineral-rich warmth easing away muscle tension and blasting the urban stress that London life piles on.

Apart from feeling like a blissful escape, this massage stimulates detoxification by encouraging lymphatic drainage and flushing out toxins trapped deep in the skin. The warm stones also bring anti-inflammatory benefits, reducing redness and restoring balance. Plus, it’s said the negative ions emitted by Himalayan salt may help clear electromagnetic pollution from our modern lives, offering a small but welcome mental reset too.

Following this blissful body work, the treatment continues with an anti-pollution facial rich in antioxidants and hydration to cleanse, nourish, and shield the complexion from daily grime. This leaves skin looking refreshed, glowing, and fortified – a perfect antidote for us city dwellers with stressed or dull skin.

What truly made the experience exceptional was the massage specialist – so incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. They took time to explain every stage of the treatment, offering personalised care that made me feel completely at ease and confident in their expert hands. Their warm approach turned the session from a simple treatment into a genuinely restorative escape and one that will definitely go back to experience again.
