In a city like London, there are always LOADS of new venues popping up left, right, and centre. In fact, it’s nigh on impossible to eat at every single restaurant and drink in every single bar in London. There are simply too many! It’s like a race where the finish line just keeps on getting farther and farther away. So, to help keep you up to date with all the new openings, here’s our guide to the best new restaurants to check out in London this September.

Aram by Imad (Opens September 8)

Image: @Ambyamad, via ig

🍽️ What is it? A new cafe, deli, and restaurant from Imad Alarnab, the culinary force behind the cult Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, celebrating Eastern Mediterranean Flavours.

😋 What to order? We’ve got our eyes on the Za’atar increasing, the Halva Browniesand the labneh with poached eggs. And you bet we’ll be sipping on cardamom spiced coffee all the while. We’ll also be sure to pick up some products from the deli to take home…

🗺️ Where is it? South wing (ground floor) Somerset House, Strand, WC2R 1LA. The nearest station is Temple.

Find out more here.

Adoh! (OpenST September 8)

🍽️ What is it? A new Sri Lankan street food concept drawing inspiration from roadside food vendors, from the team behind Kolamba.

😋 What to order? The restaurant’s speciality dish will be kothu – “a dish of chopped roti, vegetables, and eggs, tossed together on a grill and finished with curry sauce”.

🗺️ Where is it? 36 Maiden Lane, WC2E 7LJ. The nearest stations are Leicester Square and Covent Garden.

Find out more here.

Solaya (Opens September 12)

🍽️ What is it? A new restaurant from three-Michelin-starred and Great British Menu-winning chef Kenny Atkinson, on the top (25 floors up) of Hoxton’s artotel, with panoramic views of London.

😋 What to order? Our two picks, so far, are the Bouillabaisse with Lobster and the umami-forward twist on a classic, the Steak Tartare with Confit Yolk and Sourdough Toast.

🗺️ Where is it? 25th Floor, art’otel London Hoxton, 1-3 Rivington St, EC2A 3DT. The nearest station is Old Street

Find out more here.

Punk Royale (Opens September 12)

🍽️ What is it? A wild and wacky, over-the-top, party-vibes Scandinavian dining institution where the food is anything but normal.

😋 What to order? Go all out with the bonkers ‘Total Over Delivery’ menu featuring a minimum of 18 outrageous courses.

🗺️ Where is it? 6 Sackville Street, W1S 3DD. The nearest station is Piccadilly Circus.

Find out more here.

Kudu (Opens September 16)

🍽️ What is it? Following success in multiple sites around London (kicking off in Peckham, where they made a splash), the Kudu family of restaurants will now all be housed in one singular new location.

😋 What to order? Go on a Sunday to try an incredible Sunday Roast unlike any other in London. On any other day, order the ‘Best of Kudu’ option and let the chef guide you through their offering.

🗺️ Where is it? 7 Moxon Street, W1U 4EP. The nearest stations are Baker Street and Regent’s Park.

Find out more here.

Michael Caines at The Stafford (Opens September 17)

🍽️ What is it? The Michelin-starred chef opens his first London restaurant.

😋 What to order? With this kind of cooking talent in the kitchen, you might as well just go for the Signature Tasting Menu.

🗺️ Where is it? 16-18 St James’s Place, SW1A 1NJ. The nearest station is Green Park.

Find out more here.

Ms. Thanh (Opens September)

🍽️ What is it? A Vietnamese restaurant by way of Hong Kong, where it is very popular. Founder Nguyễn Thi Thành, aka The Lunch Lady, gained worldwide fame after appearing on Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations.

😋 What to order? The legendary Phở can not be missed.

🗺️ Where is it? 16 Henrietta Street, WC2E 8QH. The nearest stations are Covent Garden and Leicester Square.

Find out more here.

Heard. (Opens September)

🍽️ What is it? Michelin-starred chef Jordan Bailey takes the success of his burger spot to Soho with a second site – featuring two floors, stunning interiors, and jaw-dropping burgers.

😋 What to order? Erm… the burger… obviously. If you’re feeling fancy, though, opt for the caviar on top as well.

🗺️ Where is it? 39 Foubert’s Place, Carnaby, W1F 7QQ. The nearest station is Oxford Circus.

Find out more here.

Tobi Masa (Opens end of September)

🍽️ What is it? A blow-out new sushi spot, which will be the first London restaurant for New York sushi legend (and arguably one of the world’s greatest sushi chefs), Chef Masa Takayama.

😋 What to order? Since you’re likely here for a blow-out meal, there’s only really one option: opt for the omakase (and don’t look at the bill…)

🗺️ Where is it? The Chancery Rosewood, 30 Grosvenor Square, W1K. The nearest stations are Marble Arch and Bond Street.

Find out more here.

Carbone (Opens September…?)

🍽️ What is it? The legendary New York Italian institution is expected to make its debut in London this September. But with details thin on the ground, we’re wondering if the opening has been pushed back?

😋 What to order? Assuming the menu is similar to the other sites (we presume it will be), the must-order dishes include the Spicy Rigatoni Vodkathe Veal Parmesanand the Assorted Baked Clams.

🗺️ Where is it? The Chancery Rosewood, 30 Grosvenor Square, W1K. The nearest stations are Marble Arch and Bond Street.

Find out more here.

The Children Club (Open September)

🍽️ What is it? Elaborate and flamboyant Italian cooking that looks like a potential rival for the Big Mamma group of raucous Italian restaurants.

😋 What to order? Go for the produce-celebrating Milanese Cutletor one of their pizzas that combine the “ethereal fluff of Naples with the crisp whisper of Rome”

🗺️ Where is it? 1 Great Eastern Street, EC2A 3HU. The nearest station is Shoreditch High Street.

Find out more here.

Cicoria by Angela Hartnett (Opens September)

🍽️ What is it? Fancy some Italian food with your opera? You’re in luck, because Angela Hartnett is opening a new restaurant on the Royal Opera House’s top floor, alongside an all-day rooftop terrace bar. And, no, you don’t need to be going to the opera to try out the food – all are welcome.

😋 What to order? A plate of pasta, a glass of wine, and a dollop of sunshine (sunshine not guaranteed).

🗺️ Where is it? Royal Opera House, Bow Street, WC2E 9DD. The nearest station is Covent Garden

Find out more here.

Aki London (Opens September)

🍽️ What is it? This new Japanese spot has its roots in Malta and is opening as part of an enormous multi-million pound refurbishment of an old bank in Mayfair.

😋 What to order? Assuming the offering is similar to the Maltese site, diners should opt for the (relatively) affordable tasting menu.

🗺️ Where is it? 1 Cavendish SquareLondon E16 2XP. The nearest station is Oxford Circus.

Find out more here.
