Harley Young enjoys warming butter from Tikka view to shipyards
After a successful opening, Manchester’s corn exchange in 2020, modern Indian restaurant Delhi House Cafe has solidified as one of the city’s authentic but experimental Indian street foods.
After creating the Lamba family from Delhi to Manchester, the restaurant became known for their signature dishes and fantastic hospitality.
Delhi House Cafe became so successful that the owners decided to take over a little more from the north this year, expanding their empire on another site in Liverpool. In the midst of Slap-Bang, the family business chose the city’s historic Albert dock in their new place to live, taking over an old Lerpwl site that has been sitting in the state of sleep for some time.
I headed for a cold and blushed Thursday afternoon to see if the extension is well offered to them and whether the quality of the food and service has kept its consistency on its journey over the M62.
In a rare November sunlight, shimmering is Delhi House’s signature-gold-splashing and attractive, it is this greater contact with a rich brand that screams for professional skills and lets you know that you are in safe hands.

Inside the restaurant is a simple but stylish, utilizing rattin-café-style chairs and marble ducks that can seamlessly handle a relaxed lunchtime in the evening for special events.
A member of the group quickly welcomed me, radiation with a smile as he sat me next to the window with a magnificent view at the shipyards.

Like most good Indian restaurants, the list of non-alcoholic alternatives is a wide variety of things that cover everything genuinely from flavoursome to 0%to beer, classic soft and warming roads such as Masala Chai. The menu describes the ‘alcohol tails’ and ‘saint’, adding a little fun to ordering non -alcoholic beverages.
I chose Sab moh Maya shark; Passionfruit, Guava, Honey, Lemon and Soda combination, lemon and soda, and mint and lime wedge twig decoration.
If you are something tough, they also have it and plenty. Wine, powerful alcoholic beverages, light ales, regardless of your drops – you will definitely find something with your whistle.

By browsing a comprehensive seven -page street food favorites, including two vegan and gluten -free alternatives, one signature food in the ‘House Specials’ category caught my attention – ‘Mother’s won chicken Tikka Masala’. If it’s good enough for a mother, it’s good enough for me.
This tandoori thigh dart is served in a rich and creamy sauce, which is the “favorite of the house”.
Smoke, a tart sweetness and just the right amount of spice to kick the container without blowing your socks, no wonder the regular ones will rotate this. I know I did.

As recommended, I ordered Butter Naan, which paired and prepared for good immersion for accompaniment to make those tart remains in a bowl. Lightweight and fluffy with the edges, butter (or two) is a staple for party sharing or one in the tables.

I was eating, baptized and fully satisfied, solved the humble price, which was just over £ 26, including the service fee. You can’t find this kind of quality, top -notch service and a variety of flavors for such great value in many places in Albert Dock, trust me.
So, if you pass and need warm this winter, let Delhi House Cafe Liverpool take care of you and open your eyes to the new Indian fusion flavor world.
