From Michael Ilesanmi 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? reveals if his goal is to outdo his estranged wife Angela Deem. He has built a successful life for himself in the United States. Meanwhile, Angela has been struggling to move on and hasn’t been able to fully recover from their breakup. In January 2025, Angela shared an Instagram story where she expressed her feelings. He posted the video a a post in which she indicated that she was feeling lonely and financially strapped. Angela used words like bruised, lost, drained and terrified to describe her current state.

Like Angela, Michael is also open about his feelings on social media. He likes to update 90 day fiance to fans about her expectations and goals, as well as sharing updates on how she is adjusting to her new life in the United States.

Recently, Michael posted a Facebook story discussing whether he compares himself to others, including his estranged wife Angela. He posted the picture with the quote, “its not that you are better than someone else, but that you are better than you were yesterday.” Although the Nigerian reality star did not give exact details, she emphasized that her main focus is to be the best version of herself rather than comparing her success to others.

What Michael Ilesanmi claims he is no better than anyone else means

Michael’s basic nature has helped him achieve a peaceful lifestyle

New message from Michael showcases his down-to-earth and level-headed approach to life. Unlike his second 90 day fiance stars like Loren Brovarnik, who many fans believe enjoys proving they are better than others, Michael prioritizes his own happiness and peace. The 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? the Season 8 alum isn’t interested in stressing about proving he’s better than the rest of the cast, especially his ex-wife Angela. Instead, he simply strives to be a better version of himself every day, a goal he has accomplished over the past year in the United States.

Michael always remained calm, even at his worst. His latest post about not competing with others reflects his character well and ironically makes him look better than most of his peers. Michael’s last year in the US shows that he is focused on self-improvement instead of competition. He has found a new family in the neighborhood, befriended celebrities and created a satisfying lifestyle. Michael has also been able to afford a clean and comfortable home and car, and the introduction shows that he is living well in the US without Angela’s support.

Unlike Angela, Michael does not try to present himself as superior to others. Despite her message of being lost and terrified, her social media presence proves it he is fine but seeks sympathy from others. Angela recently threw a birthday party in Canada and hung out with Scott Wern and Biniyam Shibre, who seemed to be doing better than Michael in all areas. However, Michael doesn’t seem bothered that his estranged wife is enjoying herself. The 90 Day Groom: Happily Ever After? alum focuses more on finding inner peace in his own life.
