It’s been 16 years since a new album release from The Cure, but that’s about to chance when the follow-up to 2008’s 4:13 Dream drops on November 1. But two days day before hearing Songs Of A Lost Worldthere’s a possibility – albeit a slim one – that you could be part of an intimate gig with the band.
The Cure are playing a free gig for the BBC on October 30 as part of BBC Radio 2 In Concertwith a very small audience of fans set to be present at the BBC Radio Studios.

The band will also perform for a 6 Music Session, which will air on October 31 at 4-7pm on the Huw Stephens show.
Speaking on the news, Robert Smith said: “It’s not often we perform such intimate shows, so we’re really looking forward to this, and to sharing more tracks from the new album for the first time on 6 Music and Radio 2.”
