A solid colour midi skirt is a must-have in any wardrobe, suitable for all seasons. Fashion label Romanhas just released new colours of their A-Line Midi Skirt and if its popularity from previous years is anything to go by, sizes won’t be available for long.

Now available in ten shades including black, teal and taupe, customers have lauded it for being ‘kind to the figure’. It’s available in sizes 10 to 20 and boasts an A-line silhouette that should gracefully skim your body for a flattering look.

With an elasticated waist, it’s a comfy option that’s ‘easy to just pull on and go’, whether pairing it with a blazer for work or an oversized tee and trainers for a casual weekend look. Unlike satin midi skirts which are prone to wrinkling, this number from Roman is touted as ‘crease-resistant’, meaning it won’t require ironing yet will still drape beautifully.

If you’ve never shopped at Roman before, one customer said after receiving the skirt that they will ‘definitely shop Roman in the future if this is the example of the quality’ they can anticipate. Retailing at £32, the ‘slimming’ skirt is ‘perfect for showing off a lovely top’ due to its plain block colour. It’s perfect for those who prefer minimalist styling, but can also be spruced up with accessories or a patterned top, reports Wales Online.

One shopper, calling it their ‘new wardrobe best friend’, wrote: “This skirt was true to size, very good quality material and stretchy so very comfortable.” The midi skirt is proving incredibly popular with shoppers, so much so they are snapping it up in multiple colours.

Its A-line shape and elasticated waistband ensure that it's comfortable for everyday wear

A shopper said they were ‘glad to see additional colours added’ as when they wore it the first time it was ‘admired by lots of friends’. If you are on the shorter side, it is worth noting that some reviewers have stated it is ‘very long’. As there is no petite option for this midi skirt, perhaps it would be worth browsing New Look’s petite collection as an alternative – this Petite Khaki Midi Skirt is £25.99.

Roman’s midi skirt should easily slot into the existing clothes in your collection as it has been praised for ‘matching several parts’ of a reviewer’s wardrobe. Speaking of the grey shade, someone else said that ‘the colouring is such that I can wear a number of different types of top with it’.

The universally flattering skirt is ‘an absolute must for ladies of all age’, however someone deducted a star rating, saying they had a ‘little difficulty getting it on and off’. One fan exclaimed they were ‘glad to see additional colours added’, confessing that its first outing garnered ‘admired by lots of friends’.

For those who are a bit more petite, be warned some have mentioned it’s ‘very long’, with no petite version on offer for this particular midi. Searching through New Look’s specialized petite range might be your best bet, like their Petite Khaki Midi Skirt for £25.99.

Roman’s versatile midi has been lauded for fitting seamlessly into wardrobes, with one customer raving it ‘matches several parts’ of their collection. Another praised the grey tone: ‘the colouring is such that I can wear a number of different types of top with it’.

Marks and Spencer also offers a stunning midi skirt their £35 Slip Skirt available in black and yellow across petite, regular, and long sizes. A delighted shopper reviewed: “Great fit and very flattering. The cut and material make the skirt flow. Petite length is perfect. Shame this is not available in other dark colours.”
