At the start of the season, Ben was able to take direction well and worked hard to maintain his position as Lead Deckhand. He had moved up from his original cover hand position in the meantime Below decks season 10 and Below decks in season 11, when he was given new duties as part of the crew of a superyacht.
Unfortunately, Ben’s time aboard the St. David hasn’t turned out to be all about work, or even the romance he’s made. Less than Decemberk season 11, Ben noticed that former Bosun Jared Woodin was struggling in his role, which made things difficult for the whole team. Ben has been involved in drama whenever possible, including the incident with Jared, stirring the pot and preventing many from trusting him.

When both of them worked in an external team, they saw each other often and had to interact in their work tasks, which made it easy for them to find interests in each other.
