Yuno’s Payment Tech: Improving User Experience and Boosting Sales

Yuno, the global leader in payment orchestration, is revolutionizing the way businesses manage digital payments across the globe. By offering seamless access to over 300 payment methods worldwide and other key capabilities, Yuno’s innovative platform empowers companies to deliver an enhanced customer experience and increase sales.

With its cutting-edge technology, Yuno has enabled numerous businesses, including Latin America’s largest super app Rappi, to address one of its most pressing challenges – quick and easy integration of alternative payment methods (APMs) alongside other payment solutions. Consumers use a range of quickly evolving APMs with preferences for particular payment methods varying widely across the globe. Yuno stepped in to help meet this growing and quickly evolving demand for local payment methods while helping Rappi avoid having to invest its own time and resources to individually onboard each new payment provider.

With Yuno, Rappi gained access to over 300 global payment methods through a single integration managed via a user-friendly interface, while still retaining full control of its customers’ checkout journey. This not only helped Rappi to streamline the payment integration process — reducing development time from several months to less than a few minutes — but also opened up new customer segments for the company by enabling it to offer locally-preferred APMs, popular with different consumer groups such as the underbanked.

Yuno’s technology helped Rappi to further strengthen its payment security and efficiency through other advanced payment orchestration features as well. For example, Yuno’s Monitors enables Rappi to maintain seamless service and prevent lost sales by quickly sending alerts when one of their 20 active payment providers experiences issues. Once an alert is triggered, Yuno leverages advanced Smart Routing technology to automatically redirect transactions to the next best payment pathway, prioritizing routes with the highest acceptance rates, lowest costs, and best user experience.

Previously Rappi had to manually respond to these issues, which at peak times could take as long as 5 to10 minutes, resulting in thousands of rejected transactions and potentially lost sales. With Yuno, they were able to reduce the response time to just a millisecond, helping reduce the time analysts spend on support tasks by nearly 80% and further driving revenue growth.

Juan Pablo Ortega, CEO and Co-founder of Yuno, commented:

“Our collaboration with Rappi highlights our dedication to empowering businesses by removing obstacles to seamless, secure, and efficient payment processes. By offering access to over 300 payment methods through a single integration and utilizing our advanced Smart Routing technology, we have enabled Rappi to dramatically cut down on development time, enhance sales, and boost operational efficiency. What would have taken Rappi 12 to 18 months to develop internally was achieved in just a few months with Yuno.”

Leonardo Benante, Payments Manager at Rappi added:

“Yuno has transformed the way we manage payments. Unlike other  platforms, Yuno enables us to quickly access a wide variety of global payment methods with minimal development time, while also offering advanced features that help us boost sales. This partnership has helped us streamline our payment processes, boost our transaction approval rates to over 97%, and drive revenue growth across the board.”

In addition to Rappi, Yuno’s customers include McDonald’s, InDrive, Viva, and other renowned brands across more than 80 countries. Last year, Yuno secured $25 million in a Series A funding round from DST Global Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Tiger Global, Kaszek Ventures, and Monashees to fuel its ambitious expansion plans across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
