Look, we know what you’re going to say: What’s the catch? But there are no tricks here. This stunning Irish cottage with 1.75 acres in County Leitrim (that’s in the northern part of the country, if you don’t know your geography of Ireland that well) could be yours for just £5.
Its owner, Imelda Collins, has decided to put her dream home up for raffle—and she’s willing to cover your legal fees and stamp dutyas well as leave it fully furnished. Completely renovated and redecorated in 2022, there’s no reason not to enter, right? Well, if you’re planning on it, you’d better be quick!
What is the property like?
Before you throw away your hard-earned money, you’ll want to know a thing or two about it: Butterfly Cottage consists of a large living and dining area, a kitchen, a bathroom, and two double bedrooms. With huge front and back gardens, and a large south-facing patio area, it also benefits from sunshine from sunrise to sunset.
Other benefits of the property include lots of storage space (including mirrored wardrobes, attic storage and a hall cupboard), a private well, a meadow of mature trees, insulated floors, double-glazed windows, a walk-in electric shower, and oil-fired central heating. The nearest city, Sligo, is only a 15-minute drive away.
How do I enter the raffle?
A minimum of 150,000 tickets must be sold for the prize to be given. You’ve only got until Thursday, May 22, at 10am (or whenever the last ticket is sold) to buy your raffle ticket. If fewer than the allotted tickets are sold, the winner will get a cash prize amounting to 50% of the total ticket revenue. To get your raffle ticket to Butterfly Cottage head here.
