Southern charm star Taylor Ann Green’s brother Richard Worthington “Worth” Green passed away suddenly in the summer of 2023, and his cause of death raises questions. Viewers first met Worth during Southern charm season 9 with an overwhelming sense of sadness. Everyone knew that Taylor and her family were going through the most challenging time of their lives in just a few months during this episode of one of the best reality TV shows. Regardless, it was nice to see Taylor feeling supported by her family and brother. Taylor is back Southern charm season 10, even though the previous season weighed heavily on him and his family.

In June 2023, Taylor confirmed that her brother Worth had died. Taylor never talked too much about her family Southern charmas the show has mainly focused on her tumultuous relationship with ex-boyfriend Shep Rose. However, when he did, he always talked about them so much. Family means everything to Taylor, so Worth’s passing shocked her. Taylor’s brother died just months after her brother Olivia Flowers’ brother Connor Flowers died. It was later confirmed that he died of an accidental fentanyl overdose.

Worth’s cause of death has not yet been released

In June 2023, Taylor confirmed that her brother Worth had died suddenly. He sent him a sweet tribute, talking about what an amazing person he was and how grateful he was to call him his brother. However, Taylor never mentioned Worth’s cause of death in his Instagram tribute. Worth’s cause of death has not been confirmed by any media outlet or Taylor herself since then. It was assumed that Taylor would reveal his cause of death Southern charm season 9 reunion, but he didn’t.

Is Southern Charm Talking About Taylor’s Brother’s Death?

Southern charm season 9 did not deal with the death of Taylor’s brother, as filming for this season ended in spring 2023. Worth died in early June, so filming was completed long before his death. Southern charm has missed an opportunity to comment on Worth’s departure, so it remained private.

The Southern charm the actor had a lot to do in the last year. Two cast members lost their brothers just months apart, and they were both very sudden and tragic. Like Olivia, Taylor is still dealing with loss and struggling to cope. Despite the sudden loss, Taylor seems to be doing much better Southern charm season 10

How Taylor Handles Her Brother’s Death on Southern Charm Season 10

Taylor spoke briefly in last week’s episode about the death of her brother Worth. Taylor went to lunch with her mother where they discussed her upcoming 30th birthday. He was planning a special themed party with the group Southern charm throw; However, Taylor canceled the party at the last minute. There was no explanation as to why it was cancelled, but Craig Conover decided to invite everyone over to his house because they still had to film. Taylor’s cancellation of the party wasn’t shocking, as the lunch she had with her mother was very emotional for her from start to finish.

During the trip, the mother-daughter duo discussed Worth and his passing. The mum told how she would have been so excited to see Taylor turn 20 that she threw him a surprise party when he turned 27 and it wasn’t even a milestone birthday. Worth loved celebrating birthdays and loved Taylor even more. This conversation was difficult for Taylor to be part of, and she was visibly emotional throughout the conversation with her mother. It was during this outing with her mother that Taylor decided to cancel her party. Clearly, Taylor was too emotional to celebrate.

Taylor is still dealing with the death of her brother Worth and is still grieving. At that time Southern charm season 10 was filmed, not even a year had passed since his death. Hopefully Taylor will celebrate his 30th birthday later in the season.

Southern charm airs Thursdays at 9:00 PM EST on Bravo.
