Winter Funland runs at Kensington Olympia over the festive period following similar successful outings in Manchester and Birmingham.

Olympia opened on Boxing Day 1886 and in the early 20th century was renowned for its circus and fairground spectacles as the capital’s yuletide entertainment venue.

Now it’s Grand Hall will once again be decked with seasonal cheer, transformed into a magical winter playground for families with funfair rides, a skating rink and circus show.

Running from December 12 to January 4, event organisers anticipate more than 100,000 visitors will pass through the doors of the West London venue over the three weeks.

Tickets are all inclusive and once inside there’s unlimited access to the rides, ice skating sessions and Christmas themed circus – complete with cheeky Elves – over a three and a half hour session.

Rides include Dodgems, a Fun House, and Waltzers, while the full sized rink is suitable for ages four and up, and includes penguin skate aids.

Billed as an affordable indoor alternative to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, the attraction features a festive food court serving up burgers, hot dogs and candy floss, plus a Christmas bar, and special late-night sessions including a New Year’s Eve party with live DJ.

Event Director Simon said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing Winter Funland to London for the very first time.

“After years of success in Manchester and Birmingham, it feels fantastic to be expanding to the capital. Olympia has such a rich history of festive entertainment, and we can’t wait to fill its grand halls with Christmas magic once again.”

For opening night on Friday December 12, organisers are releasing 2,000 heavily discounted golden tickets to local London charities at the VIP event.

Registered charities can now apply for £40 family tickets at [email protected] giving the people they support the chance to enjoy an unforgettable evening of festive fun.

Winter Funland London runs from December 12, 2025 to January 4, 2026 at Olympia London, Hammersmith Road, W14.

Tickets cost £37 per person or a family ticket costs £145 plus booking fee. Tickets and further information from www.winterfunland.com
