Following what we can call agree seemed quite the disastrous event at Glasgow’s now notorious Willy Wonka Experience, a star has risen from the ashes of the crash-and-burn event.
We’ve all seen it – the near-empty warehouse, shoddy and sparse decorations, tiny posters stuck up as backdrops, and the frankly sad-looking bouncy castle and lollipops dotted about. There was little to redeem Willy’s Chocolate Experience from misleading guests with AI-generated images of a magical land filled with candy and chocolate, until it came to The Unknown.
Videos of a mysterious figure as the evil rival chocolate maker to Willy Wonka appearing from behind a mirror in a silver mask took over the internet, and The Unknown rocketed to viral stardom. The Unknown has been recently unmasked as 16-year-old Felicia who took on the role in her very first acting job and whose character will become immortalised in an upcoming horror movie based on the Willy Wonka experience titled ‘The Unknown’ which was recently announced.
In the wake of her debut performance, Felicia has landed a role at London Dungeon where she’ll put her experience of scaring the children of Glasgow to good use. The actor will receive training by the best in the business in the art of scare and immersive acting before she takes to the Dungeon herself to perform for thrill seekers and fans on April 7.
Renowned for its impressive ensemble of theatrical actors, special effects, stages, scenes, and rides, London Dungeon approached Felicia with the chance to train with their performance team, followed by a guest appearance acting in the attraction. We’re sure that this opportunity will give the young actor a real chance to flex her acting chops in a much less disastrous setting compared to her acting debut.
Felicia said: “I’m a huge fan of The Dungeons across the UK. I’ve visited many times as a guest, and I can’t quite believe I now get to be the one who’s scaring the public. Who would have thought my wild Wonka experience would have led me to this!
“I’m hoping my recent scare experience will have set me up well for this role – and I cannot wait to meet and learn from the expert team at the London Dungeon as I’d love to be doing their job full time one day. London here I come!”
A London Dungeon spokesperson said: “Clearly Felicia is a natural when it comes to the art of the scare! It’s an honour to be joined by the acting talent behind the now cult character The Unknown – and we can’t wait to see what she’ll bring to our horribly scary historical figures. If you think the mysterious character of The Unknown was unnerving, you haven’t seen anything yet!
“While we can’t say there will be any mirrors involved in Felicia’s training and guest appearance this Easter, what we can promise is there won’t be an AI script or advert in sight. The team can’t wait to welcome her to their ranks. Forget the West End, big breaks come just across from West…minster!”
Felicia will be making her guest appearance at London Dungeon on April 7, find out more on London Dungeon’s website here.
