Is The Regime coming to Netflix?
Some have begun to wonder if there is a new HBO series System will finally be streaming on Netflix after several of the network’s series hit streaming.
System may eventually come to Netflix, but it probably won’t be for a long time.
In July 2023, Netflix and HBO struck a deal that would see some of the long-running network’s biggest series come to the service; However, most of these seem to be older titles such as A band of brothers, The Pacific Oceanand In the grave.
One of the new names that made it from HBO to Netflix was Issa Rae Uncertainwhich ceased operations online in 2021 (via Deadline).
If System had to follow behind UncertainFollowing in the footsteps of the series, the series would likely still be years away from arriving on Netflix, as Issa Rae’s comedy series debuted in 2016 before arriving on the service in 2023.
For fans who want to stream System In the near future, all new episodes of the series will be released daily on Max along with their HBO debut.
Where else can I stream the system?
During the show’s first run on HBO, the only streaming location will be the Warner Bros.-owned Max streaming platform.
Warner has done a pretty good job of keeping the biggest titles in house at the height of their popularity.
This has meant that the studio’s biggest films and TV shows have come exclusively to Max post-release.
However, as shown by Warner Bros.’s willingness to license its IP to other streaming devices such as Netflix, The System the studio has proven it’s not afraid to share its riches if it means money.
The realities of streaming have begun to confront the big players in the space, and making money on these direct-to-consumer subscription platforms hasn’t proven to be the easiest.
So if a big name like Warner Bros. can make money (and get more eyes on its titles) by making deals with competitors like Netflix, it will.
Other Warner-linked players have been free streaming services like Roku and Tubi, where the studio offers the latest HBO hit Westworld.
It will probably take some time before the new play like System Similar to Tube, it’s also possible that political drama could also hit such a service at some point.
System now streaming on Max.
