Kyle Stillie was Ben Willoughby’s best deckhand throughout Below decks in season 11 and should return for season 12. Below decks season 11 was his first stint with the franchise, joining as a deckhand under Bosu’s Jared Woodin, who was fired. Captain Kerry Titheradge promoted Ben Willoughby to Bosun and Ben led the deck team for the rest of the season. Kyle was Ben’s trusted crew member. He was eager to learn and adapted well to the wave from working on St. David’s, which made him a great deckhand for Ben.
Deckhand created great relationships with all crew members. However, he was probably closest to Ben and Stew Barbie Pascual.Kyle formed a boating with Barbie. They had a natural connection that he was worried about watching his father on TV. Kyle and Barbie were dealing with problems Below decks season 11 and they had a cute relationship. Going in Below decks season 11, Kyle didn’t have an extensive history in the sailing industry. According to him Well made TV bio, he came from Scotland for one year from the boating experience. He had a lively personality that brought a lot of positive energy to the crew. Kyle was immediately enthusiastic and ready to learn from his deck team colleagues. He grew very close with Ben, who was able to teach him a lot. Kyle’s energy was contagious and brought such high morale to the St. David’s crew.
He was the lowest level deckhand, but this didn’t bother him. Kyle wasn’t interested in rising through the ranks to feed his ego. He was on Below decks season 11 to learn from those around you and gain more experience. When Sunny Marquis was promoted to Ben’s manager, he was happy for him. On the contrary, Dylan Pierre De Villiers was very upset when Sunny was promoted and spread rumors that she only got the job because she slept with Ben. Kyle was careful not to cause any drama among the St. David’s crew. She did her best to avoid conflict, but Jared dragged her into a fight after a night out. The deckhand was smoking in the hot tub and dropping ash, which shocked Jared. He demanded Kyle clean up his mess that night, and Captain Kerry was woken up by Jared’s drunken antics. The next morning, he asked Kyle about his view of the evening. When he spoke with Captain Kerry, Kyle took responsibility for his part in their fight.

Kyle admitted that he “left a messBut it was clear that Jared was not to blame when he spoke with Captain Kerry. Bosun had made many mistakes up to that point, and his mistreatment of Kyle was the final nail in the coffin, and he was fired. He is the only crew member Below decks season 11 that wasn’t mean. Kyle’s boating with Barbie was his only instance of being involved in drama. However, Ben was the one who brought up the conflict in St. David’s to support Kyle.
When Kyle and Barbie first got together, he ignored her. She was worried about what her conservative father would think of her boating with Kyle. Ben saw how Barbie’s actions affected his friend and he argued with her. Bosun said that Barbie was “pushing the child aside“and had to talk to him. Kyle didn’t ask Ben to fight for him, and their fight was unnecessary. Luckily, Barbie ended up working things out with Kyle, and they ended up on better terms.

season 11. He had genuine friendships with everyone on board. Scottie was the life of the party during every crew night.
He integrated seamlessly with the deck team, but also built relationships with the interior crew. Seems like Kyle is still close with Ben, Sunny and Dylan as he shares pictures with them on his Instagram. He would be a good fit with any other team in any other season Below decks due to his great personality.
Will Kyle be back for Below Deck season 12?
There are rumors that Kyle will return under the deck
Kyle’s return has not been confirmed Below decks season 12. However, production on the season apparently began around April 2024 when fans noticed the filming of Captain Kerry and Fraser Olender. Reddit user @svCatchinRays2 posted a video of the St. David and some of the crew. Although not confirmed, one the user speculated that Kyle was one of the outside crew members working on a superyacht. “Wishful thinking Kyle is in the back on the left. they wrote. It also appeared that Sunny, one of Kyle’s close friends from season 11, was at the front of the boat.
Captain Kerry should get Kyle to come back Below decks season 12. He was eager and excited about the experience when he joined Below decks season 11. One season under him and experience working for Captain Kerry, Kyle knows what his captain is looking for in a cover hand. He quickly became a fan favorite during the season and it would be great to see him in another season. Kyle can use what he learned in time Below decks in season 11 and use it in ranks during season 12.
Kyle was Ben’s best deckhand Below decks season 11. He stayed out of the drama, fit in with the rest of the crew and didn’t complain the entire charter season. Kyle is one of the best new crew members to come out of the series and Captain Kerry should definitely bring him back Below decks season 12
