Headshot of Whoopi Goldberg

Icon is used to describe many a star, but when it comes to cultural impact on screen, few fit the bill quite like Whoopi Goldberg. Acting in over 150 films, including Sister Act and The Color Purpleshe is one of only 19 people to achieve EGOT status.

After having not appeared in the UK on stage in almost a decade, the actress is coming to London in September for a show that reflects on her entire show and allowing fans to learn more about her phenomenal journey first hand. Only two shows are taking place, with the first at London’s Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith on September 4with a performance the next day at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena

Whoopi Goldberg: Live is a reflection of the storied career of the actress, which will see her speak on formative years as well as her biggest roles that saw her achieve the multi-discipline EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) award. Since this is Whoopi Goldberg we’re talking about, you can expect to be both bowled over by her tales as well as enjoy fits of laughter (perhaps, no, oftensimultaneously) throughout the evening.

How to get tickets to see Whoopi Goldberg: Live

Tickets go on sale for the shows on July 20, and you’ll be able to find details for them at Fiery Entertainment’s website.

Speaking on the upcoming event, Whoopi Goldberg said: “I’ve always loved performing for UK audiences. I can’t wait to take the stage at these two incredible venues and share some stories, some laughs, and maybe even a little truth.”

‘Whoopi Goldberg: Live’ UK Dates

September 4 – London, Eventim Apollo Hammersmith
September 5 – Cardiff, Utilita Arena

Tickets to see Whoopi Goldberg: Live will be available here, and they will go on sale on Friday, June 20.
