Meet Brandon H. Lee – Biography Information
Brandon H. Lee graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth
Brandon H. Lee may be on one of Netflix’s biggest TV shows, but he didn’t always pursue an acting career.
According to an interview with the Shoreview Press, when the Minnesota native attended Mounds View High School in Arden Hills, he was on the track and field team where he competed specifically in the long jump and sprints.
While in high school, Brandon also joined the football team his senior year where he played wide receiver.
It’s also important to note that Brandon never participated in any stage productions during high school, which makes it even more impressive that he’s now in a show like Cobra Kai.
However, Brandon admitted that his love for acting could be traced back to when he was three years old and obsessed with a Jackie Chan movie. According to Brandon, he loved it so much and was so inspired by Chan that he “(broke his leg” try “copied him for about three hours:”
“I tried to imitate him for about three hours and ended up breaking my leg! So my dad knew I had a passion for it.”
Brandon revealed that when he was a sophomore at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, he officially started taking acting classes in Edina, Minnesota.
Edina is about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Duluth, and Brandon traveled to his acting classes weekly for six months, which shows how committed he became to the profession.
After graduating from college, Brandon eventually decided to move to Los Angeles, California to be represented by Hunt and Hart Entertainment and pursue acting.

However, he admitted that he “yet (trains)” when not competing:
“I stopped competing to prioritize acting. I still train in Tae Kwon Do, but I don’t compete.”
