Samantha Orme made her debut Below decks season 1 and it’s time for an update on him. When Below decks The program, which premiered in 2013, aimed to bring the world of sailing to viewers. For more than a decade, Below decks has become one of the most-watched reality TV series, spanning four equally popular spin-offs. Sam, who had gained viable sailing experience after working on a charter for his parents, debuted Below decks as the third flight attendant. However, soon after the start of the season, Sam’s stubborn attitude towards authority quickly got him fired.

Sam clashed with Chief Stew Adrienne Gang and even broke the rules when she and fellow engineer CJ LeBeau were caught swimming in the ocean with a beer bottle. Sam also got romantically involved with another engineer during the season. Aside from the terrible kiss, Sam and CJ’s relationship never developed. Sam made his mark Below decks season 1; by the end of the season, he had become one of the fan favorites. Surprisingly Sam refused to return Below decks season 2noted that he wanted more for himself than working on a megayacht.

Sam’s life has changed a lot

In April 2019, Sam was shocked Below decks fans when she announced her marriage to partner Brad Ulmer. By Showstar newsSam was in a serious relationship with a man who ran a fishing tour business in Florida. However, the two split in 2018, the same year she met her eventual husband. After departure Below decksSam met Brad, a Coast Guard helicopter pilot, and their relationship blossomed. A couple of months after they started dating, the lovebirds decided to tie the knot.

Although Sam announced the marriage on his Instagram, but Sam did not announce if he Below decks crew mates were present when he performed the wedding. Sam and her husband have since expanded their family with the birth of their children. Sam announced the birth of their first child, Blake, on July 16, 2020. Sam then revealed their second child, Molly, in December 2021.

It is unclear if Sam and Brad plan to expand their family. At the moment, the couple seems happy with their family of four. In 2024, the family visited Charleston, South Carolina, Florida, and took an international trip to the British Virgin Islands. In 2024, Sam also announced it “#duty calls” and that the family would move out of Alabama, likely for her husband’s job. Sam sometimes has to spend weeks away from her and their daughters due to military duty. Although he doesn’t appear to be a big influence, he does benefit.

Sam no longer works in the sailing industry

Sam left her role as third flight attendant Below decks because he felt his skills were better suited to something else. After the show, he moved to Los Angeles, where he became director of engineering for a solar energy company. However, Sam left soon after to work as a senior project manager for another company. He completed his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. Sam was last known to have worked as a business program manager at Fidelity National Information Services.

Currently, Sam has 16,600 followers on Instagram but is not verified on the social media platform. However, Sam provides a link to the Amazon Storefont in his Instagram bio, where he gets commissions on toddler travel products, tennis products, father’s day ideas and heat wave products. Sam is also on CAMEO where he makes personalized videos for $25.

Sam is very far from his life Below decks.

The former stew also seems to hold a grudge against his fellow crew members and the franchise as he doesn’t follow anyone from the show.

He will be followed by chef Ben Robinson and Below decks season 1 Second Stew Kat Held, but she doesn’t follow them back. It’s unclear why Sam doesn’t want to follow anyone in the Below Deck world. For hobbies, Sam still enjoys being on the water by boating. He has also taken tennis as his passion.

After departure Below decks, Sam has deliberately avoided reality TV fame. However, he has grown both personally and professionally since leaving the show. Nevertheless, her work as a third flight attendant paved the way for many stews that have followed in her footsteps. Although nowhere to be seen Below decks in the season since his last, Sam’s footprint as one of the OGs has had a huge impact on the show’s success.

Below decks premieres Monday, February 3rd at 8pm EST on Bravo.
