Police were called to West End Lane, near Iverson Road and outside West Hampstead station, yesterday (March 30) from around 6.30pm.
There was wide-spread speculation online that this was due to a stabbing in the area – however according to the London Ambulance Service, this was an assault
Police were called after reports of a disturbance and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of affray, reports our sister-site London Now.
Paramedics assessed him at the scene for a head injury, but his condition has not been shared at this time.
There were no other reported injuries.
A crime scene was in place at the time, but was scaled down later in the evening.
