Washington DC – UK Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, joined by the Policy Chairman of the Corporation, Chris Hayward, and major financial services companies and policymakers, have announced that the new Office for Investment: Financial Services (OfI:FS) is live and operational.

The OfI: FS is a concierge service helping international financial firms establish or expand in the UK, offering tailored regulatory and business support to accelerate investment and reinforce the UK’s global financial leadership. It is a public–private partnership housed within the Office for Investment, bringing together OfI, HM Treasury, the PRA, the FCA, the Corporation, and secondees from leading professional services firms.

The OfI:FS, shaped by the Corporation’s blueprint, informed by 200+ stakeholder consultations, delivers a consistent, UK-wide offer linking investment to local strengths. Combining public–private collaboration with global best practice, it streamlines engagement and keeps the UK at the forefront of international competitiveness.

The OfI: FS will serve as a strategic one-stop shop for international financial services investors, offering joined-up, tailored support from market entry to expansion. It aims to create a unified, investor-centric and digitally enabled UK model to attract and retain financial services investment.

To stay close to both government and industry, OfI:FS will be based across government offices and at the ’s Guildhall, ensuring investors are supported at the centre of UK decision-making. It could help the UK unlock £10 billion in additional investment by 2030, spread across all nations and regions of the UK.

Chris Hayward, Policy Chairman at Corporation, said:

“This marks a game-changing moment for UK financial services. In just six months, we’ve gone from vision to delivery – launching a service that brings together government, regulators, and industry to position the UK as the premier global hub for financial services investment.

“It’s bold, joined-up, and built for growth. To stay ahead, we must not just match our competitors – but outperform them.

“By making it easier than ever for financial services firms to choose the UK, we’re powering economic growth and driving the nation’s prosperity .”
