Amanda Pettingill of the University of Nottingham has been announced as the new Chair of TUCO. Having joined TUCO’s Board in 2015 and becoming Vice Chair in 2022, Amanda has a wealth of experience in the catering industry, including contract catering, hospitality, sports and education. Amanda is a long-time advocate of TUCO and the organization’s values.
Amanda will lead TUCO in the coming years alongside TUCO CEO Mike Haslin, attending events, regional meetings and conferences to meet members and discuss how they can get the most out of their relationship with TUCO.
Phil Rees-Jones became Chairman of TUCO in 2020 and led TUCO through the most challenging times for our industry as it struggled to recover from the Covid pandemic. Other notable events during Phil’s tenure included the signing of the Armed Forces Covenant, the revival of TUCO competitions and the establishment of the TUCO Foundation. We are pleased to announce that Phil’s journey with TUCO will continue as he joins the TUCO Foundation Board of Directors.
TUCO CEO Mike Haslin says: “We are delighted to welcome Amanda to the role of TUCO CEO. Amanda has been a great support to Phil as Vice President and has been a champion for TUCO and its members over the years. He brings great experience to the role and will help grow TUCO for the future. It has been a privilege to work with Phil, especially during the trying times of Covid, and I look forward to continuing our relationship at the TUCO Foundation.
Amanda Pettingill, Chair of TUCO, says: “I look forward to bringing my experience from within the hospitality industry and beyond to lead the Board in the future. It is a privilege to lead this great organization even as it fills the very large shoes previously left by Phil and Matthew White! I look forward to working with the TUCO team and our members.
