Ahhhh, May – Month Every Brightonian awaits. It marks the expected return of the beloved Fringe festival, transforming the city into a vibrant center of creativity and excitement. The air humming energy, which perfectly captures Brighton’s artistic and funny spirit. With a terrible cabaret, comedy, experimental performances and everything between them, the edge is a true melting of artistic expression in all its weird and stunning honor.
Yes, Brighton Fringe is back, and this year it is particularly special as the festival celebrates its 20th anniversary. May 2. In June, over 900 exhibitions and more than 4,000 performances take over 140 seats around the city to the smallest pop-up presentation facilities from Grand Brighton.
We were lucky to get some performances at the annual opening night exhibition, and if what we saw is something to go, this year’s Fringe is set to go wild. A wonderful decentralized comedy that contains human potatoes, dazzling music and cabaret, the 2025 line -up promises a great blend of strange, stunning and downright unexplained. In other words, the classic Brighton Fringe.
Showcase: First Up, Glenda & Rita: Live highlighted the fall of the old Hollywood glamor in the 21st century with his camp and chaotic traction machine. Think of black and white movie stars, memorable one and stunning costumes-it is part of the cabaret, part of the time and completely fun.
Then there was spuds: Tatties on tour – and honestly, we are still trying to handle it. Imagine laughing brothers reincarnating in two anarchy potatoes in surreal fever. The creepy, stupid and laughing loudly funny-all about the kind of madness we love from Brighton Fringe.

All on board! The evening with Pearl and Dean brought a cruise platform lobby to Glamor to Brighton. Campedia Duo with a power plant song and a hilarious Banter, this is a show you can (and should) take your mother.
And we be Ellen Turnill Montoya is a Mr. handsome-one woman show with a comedian dressed in a literal giant hand. It is as ridiculous as it sounds – and also completely hilarious.
Other top levels of the configuration:
Benthed Peach-Ison-Britain’s Pan-Asian Cabaret collective brings dazzling and electrifying burlesque to the stage. Waiting for high drama, high kicks and high heels.
Mars Vibration – Gaylien de Mars takes you on a cosmic journey through Sound Bowls, a restorative yoga and an essential song. It is part of meditation, part of the outer space trip.

Debussy’s romantice piano in candlelight-if you’re looking for something more restrained (but not as magical), sucking sounds Moonlight And other romantic classics that performed candle light directly from the Venetian disguised ball.
My father Elton John – David 4 POOFS AND PUBLIC Tells a hilarious and cordial story of how his father can or is not Elton John. Camp Comedy meets musical nostalgia.
Lost – wild and sexy burlesque cabaret, which tells a real story about their freedom looted Latinx sound. Soldry, powerful and unequal.
He’s B.Hind You – with a pantomime with a deliciously twisted edge – waiting for laughing, drama and a touch of unexpected.

The Instches-based Peckham-based Improv group specializes in short-form comedy. Think about Whose line is it anyway? Added chaos.
Cabarave’s Curious Festival – Big rhythms, big performances and big sounds. Its In Alice Wonderland Meet warehouse rave and yes, dress is encouraged.
It is worth remembering that this mammoth event is getting No regular public funding. It is true-700 events listed in a much engraved Fringe brochure (returning to cafes, pubs and venues from mid-April), bringing scholarships, private donations and a Brightonian Grit combination alone. If you want to keep the magic alive for another 20 years, you can donate here to Brighton Fringe.
So clear the schedule, grab the brochure (when they fall in April) and get ready with the artistic chaos of the month. There is something for everyone that really is something.
