Tickets for David Tennant’s Macbeth are going on sale today. Max Webster is directing the Shakespeare tale of love, murder, and nature’s power of renewal.
The play will use groundbreaking sound design and live Celtic folk music played through headphones provided to bring the story to life. The play will feature the company of the sold out Donmar Warehouse season.
This new production will star David Tennant of stage and Doctor Who fame. A critic from the Financial Times said: “David Tennant is tremendous and superbly partnered by Cush Jumbo.
“The rich aural concept emphasises the eerie brilliance of Shakespeare’s dark, image-laden text.” The play will be on at the Harold Pinter Theatre from October 1 to December 14.
Another critic from The Guardian said: “David Tennant thrills in a production full of wolfish imagination and alarming surprise. Cool, cocky and utterly arresting.”
Tickets for Macbeth are on sale at ATG Tickets and LOVE Theatre.
