An image of a Eurostar train speeding through some snowy mountains

Londoners can prepare to glide smoothly onto the slopes this winter, as everybody’s favourite international locomotive has announced that its handy, high-speed ‘snow train’ will be making a comeback this ski season. The Eurostar Snow Train conveniently whisks passengers between London and some of the most popular ski resorts in France. Making frosty fun and frolics a whole lot more accessible.

Offering the ultimate wintery getaway, the Eurostar Snow Train transports city-dwellers from the chaos of the capital to the scenic and serene, snow-covered likes of ChamberyAlbertville, Moutiers, Aime-La-Plagne, Landry, and Bourg St Maurice via Lille every Saturday morning of the ski season. Return trips leave on Sundays – and to make it even more convenient for passengers, this year Eurostar is introducing two return journey options each week.

When will the snow trains be running?

The Eurostar Snow Train will depart from London St Pancras International every Saturday morning at 9.01am between December 20 and March 28. Return journeys will depart Bourg-Saint-Maurice at 10.54am and 1.45pm every Sunday from December 27 until April 4. Both journeys require a simple change at Lille.

The train gives skiers a far more sustainable way of reaching the snow-capped peaks of the French Alps. So, hop aboard the Eurostar Snow Train and get ready to marvel at the dreamy landscape outside your train window as you’re whisked off to a wintery wonderland. When it comes to international train travel; Eurostar will always have a piste of our hearts.
