The dust has finally settled on last autumn’s World Cup, and rugby fans across the country are getting ready for this year’s Six Nations Championship.
The annual festival of rugby kicks off in Marseille on Friday, February 2 as holders Ireland travel to 2023 runners-up, France.
The following day, England will get underway with a trip to Rome to face Italy, before Wales welcome Scotland to Cardiff to round off week one.
If you can’t make it to the matches, then where better to enjoy the action than in a cosy pub with great drinks and delicious food, surrounded by friends, passionate fans and friendly staff?
Two of Manchester’s best pubs for rugby fans – Deansgate and Lass O’Gowrie – will each be showing every single match of this year’s Six Nations, giving you the best seat in the house.

The 4.1% fresh golden ale has tropical and citrus notes and is an easy drinking and refreshing cask ale. Made with classic English hops, this is the perfect pint to enjoy during the games.
Additionally, each pub boasts an extensive drinks menu with Guinness available on tap, plus a range of premium beers, cocktails, wines, spirits, and more.
So, immerse yourself in the magical matchday atmosphere and get yourself in prime position for the action by booking your table in advance.
The Deansgate
The much-loved Manchester establishment, The Deansgate, is packed full of character and is an amazing spot to kick back and watch the game.
A recent finalist in the I Love MCR Awards for Best Pub, this traditional pub with a new modern twist is thriving. The venue boasts seven TV screens each showing live sports on every floor, and it even offers a bookable private screening space on both the ground and third floor, perfect for intimate viewing parties.
The venue is home to not one, but two spacious roof terraces, each kitted out with built-in seating, lighting, and outdoor heaters, making it the perfect all-weather outdoor drinking space.
Located at the top end of Deansgate Road, conveniently under the Deansgate/Castlefield Metrolink station, it couldn’t be easier to access.
Rugby fans can also indulge in an exciting new food menu, which features a mix of pub classics as well as sharing plates and platters.
