A woman has left people in stitches after her ‘scary Jaffa cookies’ didn’t turn out the way they were on the box.
The girl, who posts online under the username @geegeequeen, had been out shopping when she spotted a box of a Halloween version of her favorite snack. The so-called Jaffa cakes, made by Frazer Lifestyle Foods, are the Finnish version of the British favorite McVities Jaffa Cakes.
On the box, the cookies were said to be orange in color and had pictures of them decorated with a ghostly spider web design in chocolate. However, she was disappointed when they looked nothing alike as she was supposed to decorate them herself.
“I’m going to get a box of that. Don’t know what the message over there means, but it’s okay for ‘oh, spooky spooky spooky.” Anyway, pull the b*****ds out of the bloody package Where’s my ghostly and then hidden in English or how nicely you can decorate your Jaffa cookies with chocolate.
She added in the caption: “If anyone wants to teach me Finnish, please let me know… Frazer is also sending me more ghostly Jaffa cookies.” TikTok users were left in stitches over the mistake and took to the comments to mock her for not reading the box properly.
One user said: “They basically just repackaged it for Halloween but it’s still the same orange flavor.” Another added: “The shoot and throw at the end sent me into orbit”, while a third commented: “Good thing you still have Jaffa Cakes, god I love these.”
Someone else wrote: “To be fair, I might have fallen for this even as a Finnish speaker. The package design is not very intuitive in my opinion.”
