Prepare for some high-society havoc to be wreaked across the capital cityas a glamourous new instalment of the beloved Real Housewives franchise has just been commissioned to take place in London. Prayers were answered in the form of a surprise announcement made at the Hayu FanFest this weekend (October 26), which saw an abundance of reality TV lovers gather in the capital for the first event of its kind.
The London-based reality series will be the first ever to be commissioned by Hayu, and is set to go into production early in 2025, ready to be streamed towards the end of the year. The Real Housewives of London will showcase the glitz and glamour of London life (*she says as she types from within her mould-infested, £1000-a-month box room in Clapham*), and will be produced by Monkey; the very same team that’s behind the likes of Made In Chelsea and The Real Housewives of Cheshire (the only other adaptation of the show that’s made it across the pond).
The Real Housewives of London will mark the 30th iteration of the beloved show which originated in Orange County back in 2006. The London casting process has begun as producers set out to find a perfectly chic-and-shady line-up to steer the show’s ship. The rumour mill has been churning away since the announcement, and social media is rife with speculation about potential cast members. Names that have been thrown into the mix so far include Sophie Habboo (former Made In Chelsea star), Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu (previous Love Island winner), Lydia Millen (social media influencer), and Caroline Stanbury (current star of The Real Housewives of Dubai).
Hendrik McDermottmanaging director of Hayu, said: “Tonight’s announcement of The Real Housewives of London is Hayu’s first ever commission of an original series and yet another key milestone in the growth story of our all-reality streaming service. It makes sense that such an iconic location in the UK – a core Hayu market – would feature into our strategy to further amplify our offering with original content that super-serves loyal fans. We look forward to being the exclusive home of this latest instalment in the wildly popular The Real Housewives franchise.”

With a cast as well-versed in throwing shade as they are parties, and a pot filled-to-the-brim with piping hot tea waiting to be spilled; The Real Housewives of London is set to take the capital by storm. And I, for one, can’t wait to have a front row seat to it all.
The Real Housewives of London will be available to stream exclusively on Hayu at some point in late 2025.
