A special Christmas experience has landed in London, where guests can enjy breathtaking views of the city whilst meeting ol’ Father Christmas himself. The London Eye is now home to the city’s highest Christmas meet-and-greet experience, Santa in the Sky; here’s hoping neither you nor Jolly Saint Nick have a fear of heights!

Santa’s helpers have finished putting the finishing touches on the sky-high Christmas grotto, taking over one of the London Eye’s iconic capsules with a Christmas wonderland. They’ve hung the baubles and polished his chair, and now you can take flight with the man in red, 135 metres above the city. Guests can meet with Santa in the special Christmas pod until December 24. After that, you know, he’ll be kind of busy delivery presents to children around the world…

Visiting Santa in the Sky

The experience starts down on the ground, where guests are greeted by specials guests such as the Gingerbread Baker, the Toy Maker’s Apprentice, or the Nutcracker. They’re then guided into Mrs Claus’ Mail Room to enjoy complimentary festive treats. While they’re inside, young visitors can writer their Christmas wish lists and post them to Santa. And then it’s time to step aboard the London Eye.

The Santa in the Sky capsule has been filled with festive music, presents, Christmas trees, snow, and a plethora of decorations. Guests can meet and greet with Santa whilst enjoying a truly special ride in the iconic London attraction.

It’s not just for kids, though, with adults able to enjoy Festive Flights with Moët & Chandonor a Christmas-themed afternoon tea in the sky.

Said Robin Goodchild, Senior General Manager of the London Eye:

“This is Christmas like you’ve never seen it before – magical, breathtaking, and guaranteed to get London talking. We wanted to create an unforgettable moment for our families, and we can’t wait to see the faces of children (and parents!) as they get the chance to meet Santa from 135m above the capital.”

📍 Riverside Building, County Hall, Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7PB. The nearest station is Waterloo.

Santa in the Sky is running from December 1 – 24, with 12 sessions per day. Find out more and book tickets here.
