Can you believe in a mere month-and-a-bit from now we’ll have arrived at that time of year when the clocks go back and we turn our focus to other forms of light? Bonfire Night will be upon us soon, and with that comes the annual two-night bonanza that is the Ally Pally Fireworks Festival.
This time around, the spectacular display coincides with Halloweenwith the first night taking place on Friday, October 31, before the post-All Hallows Eve display on Saturday, November 1. So, much like film directors in the late 70s to early 80s, Alexandra Palace have decided it’s prime time to turn up the spook – fireworks and drone display will be Halloween-themed, with a spooky bonfire and ghost tours planned (more on that later).
These displays have been dubbed the ‘Glastonbury of firework displays’, so you’d better be quick on the trigger when booking your spot, and then you’ll have over a month to practice your best wide-eyed stares into the skies in preparation for gazing at the pretty lights.
The Ally Pally fireworks and drone display
While the fireworks are the main event, there’s much more happening across the two nights at Ally Pally. Happily coinciding with Halloween, the displays on both days with be tinged with spookiness, as will the drone show, which debuted last year at the festival and is back to both delight and horror in equal measure for the All Hallows season. A spooky bonfire is also in the works, as is a behind-the-scenes ghost tour of the Ally Pally Victorian Theatre. Visitors are encouraged to wear their finest Halloween fancy dresssince a competition is taking place with prizes to be one for the top costumes
Once you’ve voluntarily sent shivers down your spine with all the spookiness, you can head over to watch garage legends DJ Luck & MC Neat for a dance and scream out the words to A Little Bit Of Luck.
Over in the Great Hall, you can enjoy an Oktoberfest-Style Beerkellerwith plenty of beer and Oompah bands to keep you dancing away. On the Friday, there will be a special performance here from Taylor Swift tribute act, Fearlessly Taylorto get you belting out Love Story after the fireworks. If you’re not a Swiftie, then you’ll want to head down on the Saturday, when The Dolly Show will have you coming off the dancefloor feeling like you’ve worked 9-5 with their tribute to Dolly Parton.
Elsewhere, you can enjoy a Rhythm Of The 90s disco with nostalgic anthems, try out the funfair rides, enjoy an ice disco, and fuel up on Ally Pally’s vast array of street food & drink vendors.
Ally Pally Fireworks and Drone Display takes place on October 31 and November 1, 2025, and you can book your spot for the Friday here, and the Saturday here. Find out more about the Fireworks Festival here.
