An Edinburgh food bank charity revealed that international hitmaker Taylor Swift made a generous donation to its cause. The Edinburgh Food Project said that when the first of the singer’s record-breaking shows took place at Murrayfield Stadium last week, the charity received news of the donation.
The charity shared a message of thanks to the singer. The Edinburgh Food Project wrote on social media: “As fans gathered at @MurrayfieldStad last Friday for the first of three record-breaking gigs, we found out that @taylorswift13 would be making a donation to support food banks across the city. Thank you so much Taylor. Will Help? Donate £13 (#IYKYK): https://tinyurl.com/3et43bwx.”
Fans rushed into the comments to share their love for the American singer. Rachel said: “One day she’s going to start the Taylor Swift Foundation and raise money for good causes everywhere she goes.”
Emma Gregory agreed: “She’s just amazing.”
Taylor’s shows at Murrayfield Stadium broke records for the most attended concerts at the venue, with over 220,000 fans gracing the venue. She marked the occasion with a heartfelt message to her supporters.
On Instagram, the singer wrote: “.Edinburgh!!! You really blew me away this weekend. Thank you for breaking the all time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland 3 times in a row and for all the ways you made us feel at home. Love all 220,000 of you!!!”
