A Taylor Swift fan has been left devastated after her Eras Tour T-shirt was ruined after just one wash. Danni shared a video on TikTok as a warning to other Swifties to be careful with their wares.
She said she went to the first Edinburgh date on June 7 and bought the official t-shirt, which cost £40, the day before. However, after a wash, the print on the back faded considerably, especially Taylor’s name at the top.
Danni added that she washed it cold with other dark items, but that didn’t seem to help.
Danni said: “A quick warning to the UK Swifties. I bought the t-shirt at the Eras Tour Edinburgh on night one… actually I bought it on Thursday. I’ve come home and I’ve washed it, cold, with dark. … nothing dramatic.
“It’s machine washable. I washed it inside out and the back has completely fallen off. It’s all kind of faded down here. The ‘Taylor Swift’ is gone. The sleeves are OK. The print on the front is nice. But yeah, just one more warning anyone who buys it, don’t guess it!
Some fans took to the comments to share their advice. Megan wrote: “I saw people say this on the last leg of the tour and they recommended to line it with baking paper before washing it for the first time and mine survived. Hope this helps someone.”
Chloé said: “I don’t understand how this happens to other people because all my items have been washed really well.”
