8 Tammy Slaton Weighed 420 Pounds (Her Whole Life Changes)

Tammy, however, put all speculation about a potential relapse to bed 1000-lb Sisters season 5, when his weight dropped to 420 kilos, as he lost 100 pounds in just six months. Tammy couldn’t contain her excitement after the result and said:The last time I weighed this low I was about 15, 16. It’s really memorable, I did this.“

Caleb Willingham’s marriage to Tammy was one of the most beautiful moments 1000-lb Sisters season 4. Still, the couple began to experience tension in their marriage after tying the knot. Tammy’s impressive weight loss progress meant she had to leave Caleb’s side for rehab. Tragically, Caleb died just six months into their marriage due to complications from her health issues.

Even though the sisters knew the candle smelled horrible, they enjoyed doing the activity together and couldn’t stop teasing each other.

Chris has been able to do activities that his enormous weight once prevented him from doing, and on the siblings’ trip to Pensacola, Florida, Chris went windsurfing. After years of dedication to weight loss, it was good to see Chris enjoying himself, and while he still has a lot of work to do to reach his weight goals, Chris is taking the time to enjoy his accomplishments.
3 Amanda Halterman underwent bariatric surgery

During 1000-lb Sisters season 5, Tammy and Amy’s half-sister Amanda Halterman talked about their decision to have weight loss surgery after seeing Tammy’s success. Although Amanda reportedly underwent bariatric surgery in 2014 before starring in the show, she told Chris, Tammy and Amy about her decision to undergo weight loss surgery with their other sister, Misty. At the same time, Amanda also talked about her fears about the surgery, especially since all the complications could lead to death. Revisional weight loss surgery has a higher chance of complications than a first round of bariatric surgery, and any problem can be fatal.

Meanwhile, before the boat trip, Tammy got on a plane for the first time. Even the seat belt fit around Tammy, and while Tammy was understandably nervous, for the first time she saw the fun side of experiencing turbulence. After losing about 400 pounds, Tammy has found a new lease on life and it was nice to see her enjoying life and smiling throughout the season.
