The 38-year-old reality TV star was recently photographed in a renaissance-style dress that she would never have fit into before losing weight. When Tammy made her television debut in 2020, she weighed over 600 pounds and still weighed 725 pounds at her worst. Her mobility was as limited as her fashion choices, and her quality of life was greatly reduced.

When a health crisis landed Tammy in the hospital, she finally realized she had to do something about her weight. He treated his food addiction, had bariatric surgery and lost 500 pounds. When Tammy weighed over 600 pounds, 1000-lb Sisters star of season 6 was a prisoner of his own body. He couldn’t do basic things like stand long enough to bathe. Leaving the house was a big production, requiring a wheelchair, a ramp, an oxygen tank, a special van and someone to carry him around. He could barely leave the house, let alone travel.

After losing weight, Tammy discovered her love for travel. He took his first flight to Florida and didn’t need the extra seat he bought to accommodate his size. He then made another trip to Florida to visit Disney World. After Tammy got used to domestic flights, she decided to go international. He and the other Slatons traveled to the United Kingdom during 1000-lb Sisters season 6 Tammy posted Instagram photos of herself wearing a gorgeous red renaissance-style dress. In another photo, her sister, 43-year-old Amanda Halterman, wore a silver dress.

Everyone loves a good teardown video and Tammy is always happy to oblige. In December 2024 Tammy posted a TikTok unboxing video of her opening beautiful crystals. In the clip, Tammy wears a cute T-shirt that says “I need a nap.” After losing 500 pounds, Tammy went from a size 8XL to a 2XL, which completely changed her style. 1000-lb Sisters the season 6 star was much heavier, she was limited in what she could wear. Now that she can walk into any clothing store and buy something off the rack, she has enjoyed exploring her style.

In December 2024 Tammy posted TikTok pictures of himself wearing a red sweater and a denim jacket. This isn’t the first time Tammy has worn a denim jacket since losing weight.
