Hyde Park BST is really on a roll for announcements this year. Just days after revealing that the legendary Stevie Nicks will take to the stage in July, we now have news that the ever-brilliant SZA will also take a headline slot at the summer series of gigs.
SZA is taking to the stage at Hyde Park on June 29fresh from winning the International Artist Of The Year award at the BRITS last weekend (March 2). The show comes after her hugely successful 2022 record SOSwhich won the 2024 Grammy Award for Best Progressive R&B Album and was nominated for Album Of The Year. She also won Grammy Awards for Best R&B Song (Snooze) and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (Ghost In The Machine ft. Phoebe Bridgers).
Joining SZA on the bill are the 2017 Mercury Music Prize winner Sampha. and Swedish singer Snoh Aalegrawith a full bill for the show to be announced at a later date. It also comes after the releases of SZA’s new single, Saturnin February, which is part of the Lana releases, an accompaniment to SOS.
As well as Stevie Nicks, SZA joins the likes of Andrea Bocelli, Kylie Minogue, Shania Twain, Robbie Williams, Kings Of Leon, and Stray Kids at the summer party that is British Summer Time Hyde Park.
