TV executive who worked Apprentice only came to reveal the truth about how producers manipulated and misled viewers into thinking that Donald Trump was a successful businessman. Apprentice launched in 2004 as a unique example of the reality competition show format. Business leaders and entrepreneurs from across the country competed for jobs at the Trump Organization. Trump was fired in 2015 after he made xenophobic comments about immigrants when starting his presidential campaign. Trump used that persona of a successful business leader Apprentice was created to help him choose in 2016.



A marketing executive wrote an op-ed to expose the truth about the producer manipulation that allegedly took place

John D. Miller, former NBC chief marketer, just opened up about the misconception people had about Trump because Apprentice and revealed whether he regrets taking it with him. Op-ed for US News & World Report, John began his remarks by apologizing to America for helping “create a monster.” He admitted that the producers “created“a”narrative“About Trump”a super successful businessman who lived like royaltyIn reality, Trump has declared bankruptcy several times, both before and during Apprentice was in the air.


John claimed that was the main reason Trump agreed to act Apprentice because he had”plenty of time” for filming and I loved the spotlight, and the show made people believe he was more successful than he actually was. CEOs who were far more successful than Trump”were too busy” for reality TV. He added:I never thought the picture we painted of Trump as a successful businessman would help catapult him to the White House.”

John pointed it out when Apprentice was on TV, he kept bragging that the reality show was the number one show in America. “But it wasn’t. Not that week. Not that season. I had a rating in front of me“, John explained. Trump was told the claim was a lie, but he said it anyway.


After Apprentice season 3, Trump allegedly came up with the idea that the next season should pit white contestants against black contestants. John was horrified at the thought. What the manager did to get Trump off this idea was to instill in him that he would lose money from sponsors because money talks when it comes to Trump. John concluded his argument by conceding Trump’s false personality as a success story Apprentice caused by”irreparable damage“and he”profoundly” regrets letting it happen. He also regrets taking so long to speak publicly.

It’s no secret that reality TV show producers manipulate stories and create certain perceptions of actors through deceptive editing. Franchise like Real Housewives and Below decksfor example, are constantly accused of allegedly manipulating producers. Currently shipping The Golden Bachelorit has been speculated that Mark Anderson is the producer factory. On Big brother 26who just concluded, Angela Murray’s strange behavior fueled rumors that she too was a producer factory.
