Getting a new MacBook Air is usually pricey, but Sky has a deal that makes it much cheaper than going to your local Apple Store. The company, famous for its TV and broadband services, currently has a great discount on these popular slimline PCs, letting you get one for just £22 per month.

You can save £3 off its previous price and that’s not all. Add the MacBook Air to your shopping basket and you can also add a 100MB SIM for your phone for free. This means you can use your new laptop as a hotspot and access emails and the web on the go. If 100MB isn’t enough, Sky is also offering 5GB for £8 per month or 25GB for £12.

Just a quick warning before you click that buy button – there are some things you need to know. Firstly this deal is for the MacBook Air M2 model in the Midnight colour only. This is a top-rated machine but it has just been replaced by a faster M3 version. The new M3 model can also power two screens and has an amazing 18-hour battery life.

Sky’s deal is also over a 48-month contract which means you’ll need to be happy to keep it for that length of time. You can switch to a different model after 36 months if you want something new but you’ll need to start a new rolling contract.

The total cost is over four years, including a £2 upfront fee, comes to £1,058. This is £59 more than if you bought it straight from Apple – but of course, you’d need £999 in your bank account for that, rather than paying Sky’s easier instalments. It’s also available from John Lewis for £949.

This gadget boasts the latest slim design and a stunning 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone technology. It also features a speedy M2 processor made by Apple, easy charging with a MagSafe connection, and long battery life. It also comes with a good keyboard, Force Touch trackpad, fingerprint scanner, two USB-C ports, and a headphone socket.

If you want an alternative to the MacBook, Samsung has a range of affordable laptops – and you can spread out the cost with Samsung Flex. You can get the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 here for £799 or spread out the cost with Samsung’s Flex scheme.
