Sir Paul McCartney plays London’s O2 Arena this week, ending a triumphant UK tour that has already received rave reviews. The tour marks the former Beatles’ first appearance on his home turf since headlining Glastonbury 2022 – in what was hailed as one of the festival’s best ever sets. Yesterday, Sir Paul sent fans at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena into overdrive with a thrilling journey through his remarkable career.
Now it’s London’s turn when Sir Paul will play at the O2 on Wednesday 18 December and Thursday 19 December in two of the most anticipated concerts of 2024, which has already been a year of live music like no other thanks to Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour. Tickets to see Sir Paul at the O2 are already completely sold out – but keep reading for ways to potentially snag some at the last minute.
But what can fans expect at this week’s London concerts? According to reviews of his gig in Manchester on Sunday, Sir Paul played back-to-back hits as far back as The Quarrymen, through Beatlemania, and to Wings – the band he formed with his late wife Linda McCartney in the early 1970s – and also his later solo material. Here’s what can await concertgoers tomorrow.

Linda McCartney Foods
It’s not just McCartney’s music that will rock the O2 Arena on Wednesday and Thursday. In a touching nod to Sir Paul’s late wife Linda McCartney, a passionate animal rights campaigner, the O2 Arena is teaming up with Linda McCartney Foods to give concertgoers a plant-based extravaganza as their food stall gets a plant-based upgrade.
And as if that wasn’t enough, the Band on the Run-inspired Van on the Run food truck will be outside the venue offering free treats from the Linda McCartney Food back catalogue. The O2 Arena will offer a 4:2 ratio of vegetables to meat at all food outlets. The meat-free meals available at concessions inside the arena include:
- Linda McCartney’s best burger and chips
- Linda McCartney’s Korean Chicken Bites with Chips
- Linda McCartney’s Vegemince Chili Nachos
- Linda McCartney’s Vegan Sausage corndog with chips
Van on the Run treats will include tastings of the family’s plant-based classic hits, including Linda’s Best Burger and Mary’s Chilli Non-Carne. Just as Paul’s music has changed the world, Linda McCartney’s love of animals inspired her to found the meat-free food company in 1991, and it is one of the UK’s most popular vegetarian and vegan food companies.
