If you want to view a school’s performance in even more detail then you can select to read more about that school

Secondary school National Offer Day has arrived and if you’ve been offered a school you weren’t expecting, use our new gadget to compare the performance of any two schools. Today (Monday, March 2) will see children up and down the country find out which secondary school places they have been offered for September.

Most children will get their first choice of school, but not everyone is as lucky. Last year, 84 per cent of students got their first choice.

Another 12 per cent got one of their other preferred schools. That left 4 per cent of pupils with a school they didn’t pick as one of their ranked preferences.

Now, using our latest gadget, you can compare the performance statistics of any two schools. The gadget uses official government data on pupil performance.

It compares schools’ Attainment 8 scores going back to 2015. Also compared are pupil’s success at getting A-C in English and Maths, English Baccalaureate performance, and historic Progress 8 scores.

If you want to view a school’s performance in even more detail then you can select to read more about that school. If you have been offered a school other than your preferred choices, you can check out to see how they compare below:
