Rehearsal images have been released for Vincent in Brixton ahead of its opening at the Orange Tree Theatre.
The production and full company were previously announced, and the newly released images offer an early insight into Georgia Green’s staging of Nicholas Wright’s Olivier Award winning play.
The revival sees Niamh Cusack return to the Orange Tree Theatre as Ursula, joined by Jeroen Frank Kales as Vincent van Gogh with Rawaed Asde, Amber Van Der Brugge, and Ayesha Ostler completing the cast.

Set in 1873 in a modest South London boarding house, the play imagines the transformative relationships sparked by the arrival of a young Vincent van Gogh as a lodger.
The rehearsal images capture the company exploring the intimate, domestic world of Wright’s script, which originally premiered at the National Theatre.
Artistic Director Tom Littler said, “The Orange Tree continues to be a meeting point for theatrical debutants and veterans: a place where people take their first steps into professional theatre alongside those who have shaped our landscape. It’s a particular pleasure that Richard Eyre, who directed the first production of Vincent in Brixtonwill be in the building directing Strindberg while our Associate Director Georgia Green, who first studied here as a student, is directing the first major London revival of Nicholas Wright’s gorgeous play.”
Vincent in Brixton runs from 14 March to 18 April 2026 with a press night on 20 March at 7pm.
