He did have a best friend, but sadly his owner passed away. Reggie then arrived at The Mayhew animal welfare charity, where he could receive the care and support he needed.
Since arriving at Mayhew, Reggie has been diagnosed with a couple of medical conditions.
While these aren’t serious, he does require ongoing medication and adopters who are understanding of his needs and happy to keep a close eye on his health.
Sadly, Reggie hasn’t received much adoption interest so far, likely due to concerns around his medical needs.
However, the Adoption Team at Mayhew are always happy to speak with potential adopters and answer any questions they may have.
Reggie can’t help the hand he’s been dealt – he’s simply hoping for the right person or family who will see what truly matters: his big, affectionate heart.
He loves snuggling up with his favourite people and is a wonderfully loving companion to have by your side.
Reggie is seven years old and could possibly live with another dog following a successful meet.
He would prefer not to live with cats. He can live in a flat, provided there is direct access to a garden.
At 11 years old, Kitty the cat has been through a lot of changes recently.

Her previous owner could no longer care for her, so she arrived at Mayhew where she could receive the support she needed.
Kitty is a little on the worried side, and struggled setting into the cattery environment at Mayhew. Fortunately, there was a foster carer who was able to provide Kitty with a temporary loving home while she could adapt to the recent changes in her life.
She’s been making great progress in foster care and has been showing her affectionate side. She’s also quite the keen adventurer and likes to hunt for the cosiest spots in the house where she’ll then take a rewarding nap.

Kitty is looking for a quiet home with access to a garden where she will be the only pet.
Ideally, she needs someone who is happy to let her go at her own pace and provide the patience she needs.
Her foster carer shared: “I think she’s a great companion, she just needs a peaceful home to find her feet and then I’m sure you will have a wonderful, undemanding and loving friend.”
