Westminster City Council is delivering a regeneration project that will provide 1,750 new homes.

The Church Street Regeneration Programme is supported by a partnership between the council and Mount Anvil. It aims to provide improved community facilities and public spaces, as well as new high-quality homes.

Half of the 430 homes built on Site A will be affordable, with 50% or more of the total 1,750 being council homes for social rent or keyworker housing at subsidised intermediate rent.

Included in the development plans are the delivery of upgraded pedestrian routes, new cycle infrastructure, enhanced green spaces, a new library, and a refresh of the historic Church Street Market to improve trading conditions, generate jobs, and support training opportunities.

The council has said the project will boost both the local economy and jobs for residents, assisted by £1m in social value funding from Mount Anvil to help provide various community projects.
