The restaurant from the Netflix show
Gordon Ramsay is not one to slow down, with new restaurants and TV shows launching on a regular basis. Last year, he opened a couple of restaurants at the swanky new skyscraper, 22 Bishopsgate, including an outpost of Lucky Cat, and High – a 12 seat chef’s counter restaurant that holds the record as being the highest in Europe. Located on the 60th floor, you do get some epic views, although these were partially obscured on our visit by a combination of condensation and clouds. The restaurant opened in February 2025 and was awarded one Michelin star in the 2026 awards.
Eat This
Headed up by chef James Goodyear (who was previously at Evelyn’s Table), High offers a set tasting menu at £250 per person (cue joke about prices to match the sky high location).
The menu begins with a quick succession of excellent snacks including a gougére stuffed with Tunworth cheese and Iberico ham; crab topped with caramelised cream and a healthy dollop of caviar; a buckwheat tart topped with aged beef tartare and crisp artichoke; an oyster that had been transformed into a small pearl of ice cream and finished with seaweed mignonette; and a warm shellfish consommé.
Highlights from the rest of the menu served on our visit included the ravioli stuffed with lobster, langoustine and salmon and dressed with a yuzu cream (this is a signature from the three-star Royal Hospital Road); the roast duck, accompanied by a pine nut XO sauce and a morel mushroom stuffed with duck meat; and the twice baked cheese soufflé with hazelnut and truffle.

Drink This
There are wine pairings at £160 or £210, but we took it easy and went by the glass. We started with a glass of Ruinart (kinda need to have a champagne when dining at the top of a skyscraper); followed by an Albariño from Rías Baixas, which was a good match for the early courses; and finally, a red Burgundy to go with the duck.
