Sonia Friedman Productions and Sony Pictures Entertainment have announced the development of The Popinjay Cavaliera new stage comedy written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Set in 1830s Europe, The Popinjay Cavalier is described as a rambunctious comedy filled with deception, disguise and the grand traditions of swashbuckling adventures.

The production promises a sweeping celebration of theatre and heightened romance, delivered with Tarantino’s unmistakable wit and signature style.
