Fresh from releasing the news of their upcoming record More, Pulp have announced a pair of intimate shows at the BBC next month. They’ll be playing Radio 2: In Concertas well as a session on Radio 6 Musicwith fans able to watch and listen from Thursday, May 26.
For the former show, a small number of fans will be able to attend the recorded concert for free, which takes place at BBC Radio Theatre on May 7. There won’t be many more intimate settings to see Pulp live, and those hoping to attend will be able to register online to be in with a chance of being in the crowd.

The BBC is also airing a Pulp session with Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio 6 Music, which will also include an interview by the host with Pulp. This is due to air between 7am and 10am, with the Radio 2 show then set to be broadcast on Jo Whiley’s show and BBC Sounds. On the following day, there will also be some exclusive tracks from the recordings played on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show from 9am.

How to get tickets to the intimate Pulp shows in London
Since the demand for this incredibly small show will be huge (this a legendary arena band we’re talking about here), there will be a ballot for tickets. Spots are completely free, and all you need to do is sign up here before April 22 to be in with a chance of attending the Pulp show. According to the BBC page, the draw allocation will be completely random, with 50% of spots going to Greater London postcodes and the other 50% to the rest of the UK.
Those who are successful will be notified via text messagewith tickets being sent to the email addresses of the winners. Those unsuccessful will be kept on the waiting list in case of ticket cancellations. If you’re one of the lucky few, remember to bring your Photo ID with you on the day, and note that the concert space is standing only, though there is wheelchair access to the venue. The gig is expected to last for around 75 minutes.

Are Pulp playing any other shows?
Yes. Pulp play these shows ahead of going out on a full UK tour later this year, which includes two nights at the O2 Arena in June. Their new album Morewhich is their first in 24 years, is set for release on June 6, 2025. It follows their last album We Love Life which was released in October 2001.
