Meaning ‘To Return From The Sea’, Volta do Mar is completely unique to the London dining scene.

Our international menu showcases dishes from countries of the Portuguese speaking world, including Asia, Africa, Brazil and Portugal.

Located on Draycott Avenue, Brompton Cross, we are nestled between Chelsea, Knightsbridge and South Kensington and are minutes from Kings Road, Sloane Square, and the West End.

Our menus feature a delicious and daily changing selection of line caught wild fish, seafood, including oysters, lobsters, crab, langostine and Petrossian Caviar.

Superbly reared meats are selected from the Uk’s top producers, ensuring we serve the very best from farm to fork.

Our wine list, top-rated three stars by World of Fine Wine Magazine 2025, features a broad selection for every budget, including a fine wine section.  And we’re proud to be listed in The MICHELIN Guide 2025.

Private dining at Volta do Mar

The Kitchen Table

Accessed through the kitchen, this cosy space is completely private for up to 12 sat on one long table. The space feels part wine cellar, part chef’s table and has its own sound system, if you wish to enjoy your own playlist. This room is the ultimate discreet hideaway, perfect for intimate celebrations or private business dinners.

Behind The Curtain

With views of the open kitchen, this area is made private from the restaurant and can seat up to 16 on two separate tables, or 15 on one long table.  The space can be extended further, connecting with the middle of the restaurant, increasing capacity to 30 on 4 tables, each parallel and adjacent to each other.

Whole Restaurant Takeover & Outdoor Terrace

Whole restaurant takeovers can accommodate 50 seated, or 65 standing for drinks and canapes.

Our West facing Outdoor Terrace seats up to 20, or 30 standing and gets incredible sunshine…when it’s sunny!
