LIMA Fitzrovia enters an exciting new era with Peruvian-born Diego Recarte taking the helm as Head Chef.

Drawing on experience from some of the world’s most renowned kitchens, Diego infuses his cooking with a vibrant blend of Peruvian tradition and international inspiration, bringing a renewed creative energy to the restaurant’s celebrated legacy.

Born in Peru, Diego has honed his craft in some of the world’s most acclaimed kitchens, including Astrid y Gastón in Lima, D.O.M. in São Paulo, Enigma and Pakta in Barcelona, and Le Calandre in Padova.

His culinary journey has also taken him through projects in Milan, Palermo, Singapore, Doha, and Bali. Over the past 15 years, these global experiences have shaped a distinctive and forward-thinking approach that always keeps Peru at its heart.

Now, as Head Chef of LIMA Fitzrovia, Recarte ushers in a new era for the restaurant’s Michelin-starred legacy.

His cuisine celebrates the rich biodiversity of his homeland while embracing the dynamic influences of London’s food culture—resulting in bold, contemporary dishes that remain deeply rooted in Peruvian heritage.

With its warm, stylish interior and welcoming atmosphere, LIMA Fitzrovia invites guests to embark on a culinary journey that celebrates Peru’s authenticity and creativity in equal measure.

Whether enjoying the tasting menu, à la carte dining, or a special celebration, guests can expect an experience that is refined, vibrant, and unmistakably Peruvian.
