I went with my boyfriend, and from the moment we stepped inside, the energy shifted — glamorous, intimate and quietly buzzing, yet completely removed from the chaos of Mayfair outside.
The service was exceptional from start to finish: attentive, genuinely friendly and incredibly helpful when talking us through the menu and making recommendations.
It instantly made us feel relaxed and well looked after.
We began with a selection of starters that set the tone beautifully.
My boyfriend chose the wasabi king prawns, which had just the right level of heat and were perfectly cooked, while I opted for the vegetarian spring rolls and sea bass tartare.

The spring rolls were crisp, light, and comforting, while the sea bass tartare felt fresh, delicate, and elegant — a real highlight for me.
Every dish arrived impeccably presented, and it was clear how much care had gone into both flavour and detail.
For mains, we ordered the Cantonese roast duck with champagne and orange sauce, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation.
Rich, glossy, and deeply flavourful, it was the kind of dish that makes you slow down and savour every bite.

We paired it with egg fried rice, seasonal vegetables, and the wagyu beef fried rice, which was indulgent in the best possible way — luxurious, comforting, and impossible to stop eating.
Everything complemented each other perfectly, striking that balance between elevated dining and pure enjoyment.
The setting plays a huge role in what makes Park Chinois so special.
The main restaurant, Salon de Chine, is inspired by 1930s Shanghai and feels like a glamorous escape — dimly lit, beautifully designed, and tucked away from the hustle of Mayfair.
Within the restaurant is the Salon Bar, an ideal spot for pre-dinner drinks where timeless cocktail classics meet bold, modern twists, making it just as appealing for a relaxed drink as it is for a full evening out.
As the night unfolds, Park Chinois reveals even more layers.
Club Chinois, open Thursday to Saturday from 7pm, is an opulent hideaway where fine dining blends seamlessly with nightlife. Inspired by the golden age of Shanghai, it offers sultry music, exquisite cocktails, and a late-night sophistication that feels indulgent without being over the top.

Hidden beneath it all is the Wave Bar, a luxurious underground space and the venue’s hidden heartbeat, where mixology and music come together and the evening takes on a more intimate, after-dark feel.
The venue also caters beautifully to special occasions and celebrations, with several standout private dining rooms.

Salon Noir is the ultimate private space, blending luxurious antiquity with graceful décor, complete with a marble fireplace and circular ebony table for up to nine guests.
The Opera Group offers a semi-private experience overlooking Club Chinois, allowing you to feel part of the atmosphere while dining as a group of up to eighteen.
Salon Rouge, set within Club Chinois, is a cocoon of red and gold — intimate, dramatic, and ideal for an evening of opulence and fun.

Looking ahead, Park Chinois also shines during Chinese New Year, offering a special limited-time menu available from February 12 to 22, featuring celebratory dishes such as Fortune Glazed Wagyu Chae Sui and Sweet Prosperity Mango Pomelo Sago with Crispy Duo for dessert.
Traditional Chinese Lion Dance performances run from February 16 to February 18, lasting around 25–30 minutes and followed by photo opportunities, adding an unforgettable sense of spectacle and celebration to the dining experience.
Overall, our evening at Park Chinois felt indulgent, romantic, and flawlessly executed — from the outstanding service and delicious food to the richly atmospheric surroundings
. It’s the kind of place that turns a simple dinner into a memorable night out, and one I’d happily return to again and again.
