If you’re not happy with your Palworld character, you’re going to want to change their appearance, but can you even do that in the game?
It seems like it’s impossible to not hear about Palworld now. In fact, given just how many people are playing it on Steam alone, if you’re reading this article, you’ve probably already played Palworld.
That means you’ve created your in-game avatar. There’s not a lot to the in-game character creator, with a handful of hairstyles, faces, and eye designs. But you may have made something you weren’t sold on or decided you preferred a different hairstyle.
Yes, it’s time to consider making that all-important change to edit your Palworld’s character appearance. Unfortunately, it’s not as easy as it sounds.
Changing your Palworld character’s appearance
As of this writing, you cannot change your character’s appearance in Palworld. Whatever design you create will be your final character in the game, so make sure you pick a design you like!
Right now, the only solution if you’re truly miserable with your character design is to start over. Unfortunately, that means losing any progress you’ve made, any levels you’ve earned, and any Pals you’ve gotten particularly attached to.

There is a glimmer of hope, though. A note from the dev on the character creator confirms that, while character appearances are currently final, the ability to edit characters in Palworld will be coming in a future update.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any kind of a timeline for that. There is currently no announced roadmap for updates to Palworld.
