Calling all lovers of meaty burger delights and sippers of wild shake concoctions, a new opening is coming to London that you won’t want to miss. The cult New York-born burger chain Black Tap is opening up a flagship site in Soho that’s set to be one of their biggest restaurants. And to celebrate the launch of the new spot, they’re giving away 100 FREE burgers.

The burger slingers are famed for their wild burgers and outrageous CrazyShake® creations. Their viral creations include flavours such as Cookies ‘N Cream Supreme and the exclusive-to-London Big Apple Shake with a cream cheese frosted rim, graham cracker crumble, slice of New York cheesecake, and a whole English funfair-style toffee apple.

Following the success of their Stratford location, they’re going big with a huge new location right in the middle of the city. The two-floor venue is set to open on April 17 with room for 164 diners, a ground-floor bar for cocktails, a basement dining space, and a dedicated CrazyShake® bar.

Free burgers

On April 17, 2025, Black Tap Soho will open its doors to the public. And to celebrate the opening, they’ll be giving away 100 free burgers. These burgers will be available on a first come, first served basis, from opening at 11am.

So, if you fancy getting your hands on a free lunch, all you have to do is be among the first 100 people when doors open. If you make the cut, you’ll get an All American Burger completely for free. It’s as simple as that. (We recommend turning up early to queue – it’s bound to be popular!)

And don’t worry – they know a burger by itself isn’t enough. So, of course, they’re also chucking in a side portion of fries for free. That’s (early) lunch sorted, then! Vegan and veggie options will also be available as part of the burger giveaway.

Black Tap Soho

Black Tap’s new restaurant in Soho will span a whopping 5,000 square feet. The burger spot will feature the brand’s most iconic burgers and wild CrazyShake®. The menu will even have some exclusive dishes just for the London location.

The new location is a perfect full-circle moment for the burger brand, which started life in New York’s own SoHo neighbourhood in 2015. From SoHo to Soho, across the Atlantic. From their first 15-seat spot, they’ve since expanded to sites across the USA and around the world. They now operate locations in Las Vegas, the Disneyland® Resort, Nashville, Miami, Geneva, Zurich, and Singapore, among others.

Chris Barish, Chairman of Black Tap, said: “Opening in London’s Soho feels like coming full circle for us. We started as a small 15-seat restaurant in New York’s SoHo a decade ago, and now we’re bringing that same energy and passion for craft burgers to London.

“We’ve always believed that a great burger experience is about more than just the food – it’s about creating a vibrant atmosphere where people can connect over incredible flavours while surrounded by art, music, and creativity.”

📍 Black Tap Soho will open on April 17, 2025, at 4-6 Glasshouse Street, W1B 5DQ. The nearest station is Piccadilly Circus.
