Summary

From 2024-25 onwards, the National Diabetes Audit (NDA) audit period changed from a 15-month period to a 12-month period. For example, the 2023-24 audit period covered January 2023 to March 2024 whereas for 2024-25 the audit period covered April 2024 to March 2025.

Tables 1a to 2b in the Excel document below provide care process and treatment target data from 2016-17 onwards using both the 15-month period and 12-month periods. This makes it possible to assess the impact of the audit period change on provision and achievement rates, as well as providing new 12-month results for pre-2024-25 audit years.

Results are split by diabetes type and presented for England primary care and Wales primary care.

Disclosure control has been applied to mitigate the risk of patient identification. The percentages in the report use numerators and denominators that are rounded to the nearest 5, unless the number is 1 to 7, in which case it is rounded to ‘5’. The resultant percentages are also used to calculate percentage point differences.
